OUR VISIT TO CERMODERN

Hello everyone!

On Saturday morning we visited CERMODERN. Everybody was there on time and it was one of the most beautiful days of my life. We drank plenty of coffee and ate tasty cultural foods. Moreover, we met people from many different countries there. 

We also visited the museum but it is not possible to describe the pleasure that art gave us.

 Cermodern opened its doors to the public in 2010. Its main mission is to improve people's artistic perspective. It also host concerts and organize events.

Cermodern Arts Center  is always renewed, innovative, versatile, dynamic and active. They mostly exhibit modern art and provide opportunities to educate and communicate the  public by allowing them to interact with art.

Actually the building  which is used as an art gallery today was a repair and upkeep center for TCDD train locomotives in the past. Cer workshop was used for more than 50 years. In 2010 the building was restored and opened as a gallery.

Cermodern museum has many interesting things, such as the blue locomotive at the workshop. But there is something more interesting at Cermodern, which is the symbol of this museum. The statue  came to Turkey in the first years of the Republic.

If you go to cermodern you have to visit the "Looping Reality Exhibition". It was so interesting and strange. We have never experienced something like this in our whole live. And you also have to visit the musical instruments exhibition.

When we went to Cermodern there was an event about cultures of countries. This was a nice coincidence for us but we should mention that there is a new event here almost every week.

Embassies of almost every country had set up stands. They were giving out travel guide books, cultural clothes and foods about their country.

If you live in Ankara or you come to Ankara one day you definitely ought to visit Cermodern. It will be a beautiful experience for you and your friends!
